HIRG convened a stakeholders' workshop with the Ministry of Health, the National Information Technology Authority — Uganda (NITA-U), the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), and Makerere University's Quality Assurance Directorate, Directorate of Research, and CoCIS Management team to review the PhD Health Informatics curriculum.
Participants from MakHIRG, the School of Public Health (SPH), School of Computing and Informatics Technology (SCIT), Ministry of Health, NITA-U, and Makerere's Quality Assurance and Directorate of Research management teams worked together on aligning the curriculum with national and regulatory expectations, and on ensuring graduates are equipped for Uganda's evolving health-informatics landscape.
